Ride Alert/Alert ID Privacy Policy

At Alert ID we are committed to protecting your privacy. The following Privacy Policy sets out how we use and protect the information you provide us.

By accessing or using the Alert ID website either directly, or through Ride Alert, you agree to the terms of Alert ID Privacy Policy, as set out below. If you do not agree to these terms, please do not access or use this site. Alert ID reserves the right to change the Privacy Policy from time to time at its sole discretion. Your use of this site will be subject to the most current version of the Privacy Policy at the time of such use.

Your information

When you use ‘Account Setup’ to register with Alert ID, order ‘Products’ and or ‘ID Devices’ or register with us on www.alertid.us or www.ridealert.us (the “Websites”), you will be given the opportunity to store certain information such as your name, email address, contact telephone numbers, date of birth, ‘Products’ and or ‘ID Devices’ selections. You will also, by default provide information about your usage of our website (for example, the URL you came from, IP address, domain types like .us and .com, your browser type and the pages of our website that were viewed during your visit) (“Your Information”).

Ride Alert/Alert ID does not keep a record of credit/debit card details.

How Your Information is used

Alert ID uses any information stored by users, to administer the website, assist customers with the enquiry selected and for the purpose of administering the ‘Incident Response Center’. We may also use information to inform customers about special offers, new products, services, promotions, and other similar information which we offer which may be of interest. We may contact customers by post, telephone, as well as by e-mail as per the preference stated at the time of registration or placement of an order with us. If, at any time, customers may update their information or unsubscribe from receiving notifications from Alert ID, by contacting us at feedback@alertid.us. Alert ID recognizes and appreciates the importance of responsible use of information collected through the Alert ID website. We will use information in accordance with the Alert ID Privacy Policy.

Disclosing your information to third parties

Alert ID does not sell, trade, or rent your information to others, but reserves the right to provide aggregate data to third parties for statistical analysis. Such data will not be linked to any particular individuals. We do not disclose your information to third parties without consent unless legally required to do so or where such disclosure is necessary to enable third parties who act for us to process your order. Those third parties process information, fulfill and deliver orders, process credit card payments and provide support services on our behalf. Customer information will NOT be used to inform customers of other products, services and special offers from third parties. Upon registration with Alert ID or placement an order on the Alert ID website customers confirm that they do not consider any of the uses the information described above as being a breach of any of the rights conferred under the Alert ID Privacy Policy.

Security Of Information Transmissions

Information you provide to Alert ID when filling out forms or requests for information on our Website, as well as information we supply when you are visiting those areas, is protected while passing through the Internet using encryption technology called Secure Sockets Layer or SSL. Your browser will indicate when you are within a secure area of our Website by displaying a symbol, such as a locked padlock or an unbroken key. Encryption technology scrambles transmissions so it is incomprehensible to third parties.
